Habbox Summer Spectacular

The Habbox Summer Spectacular (referred to commonly as HxSS) is a Habbox event which occurs every summer. It runs for 2 weeks, usually at the end of August and takes the form of a tournament between four teams. The Habbox Summer Spectacular is only one of the seasonal events that Habbox hosts, others including the Easter Eggstravaganza.

Each of the four teams has a colour and a mascot - Green (Snakes), Red (Parrots), Black (Monkeys) and Blue (Hippos). These were updated to Turtles, Foxes, Pandas and Dolphins for the 2015 event! A few days before the Summer Spectacular begins, members can join a team by applying to join the group on HabboxForum.

The teams are led by (Assistant) Department Managers, whose duty it is to motivate the members of the team and ensure they are performing to the best of their abilities.

The two weeks are dominated by events, held mainly by the Events and Competitions departments, at the same time that HabboxLive DJs host special Radio shows. However, each year, other departments are given the opportunity to run competitions as well, including the Forum and Graphics departments. Help Desk staff usually host events in the Help Desk to fill in slots as well - although usually all members of Habbox Staff are given permission to host events. Each department also runs a larger competition over the duration of the two weeks

Each competition, no matter which department it is held by, comes with a prize of (usually Forum VIP, Tokens Credits or Reputation Points) and points.

The points are added to each player's personal total and their team's overall score. The team with the overall highest amount of points is declared as the winner of HxSS, whereas the player with the most points is declared as the overall winner.

At the end of the two weeks there is an awards ceremony in which various awards are given out, including (but not limited to as awards often change every year):

The top scorers in each team win large prizes (which change every year), especially the top 3 scorers in the overall winning team.

• 2nd Place - Black Team (Pandas) Lead by Empired and Skynus, with Absently as team mascot. The final score was 20435 points.
• 3rd Place - Red Team (Foxes) Lead by Ripieno and Samanfa, with xxMATTGxx as team mascot. The final score was 19475 points.
• 4th Place - Green Team (Turtles) Lead by lesbon and lRhyss (who was non-existent), with welshcake as team mascot. The final score was 15520 points.
