Luna's FUNKY Feng Shui was a campaign and room competition on Habbo United States in October 2006 for the release of the Asian furniture line. The first and second place winners won the entire furniture line. This campaign run alongside the Streets of Bobba campaign.

Lesson One

The Mysterious Book

Wow, what a weekend I’ve had! It all started on Friday night, when I read a magazine article on the ancient Chinese practice of “feng shui.” Supposedly, if you rearrange your furniture a certain way, you’ll achieve personal peace and harmony. I was instantly sold, so I headed to my lair and started making adjustments. I worked all weekend making tweaks here and there, but I still wasn’t feeling any more peaceful or harmonious. On Sunday night, I gave up and fell asleep on my sofa, ready to give feng shui another shot in the morning…

This is where things get kinda crazy…when I woke up this morning everything looked the same, except for this big ol’ weird-looking book in the middle of my floor. When Shotzi was done sniffing it I picked it up and started flipping through it. All the pages were empty except the first one. This is what was written on it:

''Luna,

What a silly and foolish girl you are! You think the path to righteousness and well-being can be achieved simply by arranging furniture a certain way??? Nonsense! You have a lot to learn young one, and I’m here to teach you….in spirit at least!

There are 4 lessons you must learn, but it is up to you to find out what they are. Sound complicated? Well I never said the road to peace and harmony was an easy one. I will guide you on these quests for knowledge but you must dedicate and apply yourself to reach the end.

While a lifetime of self-fulfillment should be enough of a prize for solving these quests I lay before you, I understand you probably need a little more incentive…not only are you foolish, you are greedy as well! Nonetheless, you will be rewarded for each lesson you learn with a piece of furniture beyond your wildest feng shui dreams.

Keep your eyes open Luna, for, “Ignorance is the night of the mind, but a night without moon and star.”

- Confucius''

A little harsh, don’t ya think?? *Sighs* Well, if I’m going to get this feng shui furni he’s talking about, I guess I have some learning to do. Is there any way I can talk you guys into helping me? What about if I put the furni I’m rewarded into the catalogue? That ought to do the trick! Plus, to sweeten the deal, the first person to send me Confucius’ first lesson will receive this mystery furni and 2 months of HC for free!

I've already posted the first clue Confucius left me in my room. Head on over and get started! Thanks Habbos!

Lesson Two

The Mysterious Book

Reversed. and SammyIcanny411, you are the smartest Habbos ALIVE! Well, maybe not THE smartest, but thanks to your speedy intellect and code-cracking skills (you tied for the fastest entry!), I was able to learn Confucius’ first lesson: “Respect yourself and others will respect you.” I’ve scored the feng shui in record time and learned something pretty cool in the process. This Confucius guy isn't too bad! The Calligraphy of the Masters poster is now in the catalogue for everyone to enjoy!

Don’t get too excited, we’ve got lots more to learn! This morning I opened the mysterious book cause I was looking for some blank paper to doodle on. Just as I was about to draw a little monkey wearing a top hat, some more words appeared on the blank page before me. This is what they said:

Ah, Luna! You’ve done it. My first lesson of respect has been learned…I guess two heads are better than one. Or in this case, 2,600 heads are better than one! I hope you enjoy the gift I have given you. It took the masters centuries to create this masterpiece of a poster, and now, it is yours.

The best is yet to come young Luna. Search for my next clue and seek out lesson number two. Good luck, and remember, “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” So hurry up and LEARN!

-Confucius

So, I should go slow AND and hurry up??? I'm already confused…ANYWAYS, keep your eye on the prize, Habbos! There’s more furni to be won, so keep an eye out for clue number two and help me learn my second lesson! Whoever submits the correct lesson first will get the Calligraphy of the Masters poster and the new furni that is given to me AND 2 months of HC! Plus, since I've discovered that so many of you kind Habbos are willing to help me, I'll choose an additional two Habbos at random this time to win a piece of the new furni as well. Long live the feng shui!

Another (Strange) Clue!

I had the craziest dream last night, Habbos. I dreamt I was up at the Rooftop Rumble pool working on my tan, when all of a sudden, two giant rats were up on the Wobble Squabble platform duking it out. I didn’t know quite what to make of it so I clicked on them to see if they had Habbo names and missions, and both were marked with the following: *Zi*.

As soon as I woke up, I had to know if there were actually rat Habbos out there, and of course there weren’t, but I did come upon something very interesting…there is a locked room in the hotel called *Zi*!

After some googling, I found out that Zi is the first animal symbol in the Chinese zodiac, the Shengxiao! I don’t know how Confucius got into my dreams, but I definitely think this is another clue for his second lesson. Good luck deciphering Habbos…hope this weird rat clue helps.

-Luna

Lesson Three

A Dream Come True!

You guys did it. You actually made some sense out of that crazy dream I had! The wobbling squabbling rats marked the beginning of a trail of animals from the Chinese Zodiac, which ultimately led us to Confucius’ second lesson.

Congrats to 98? for submitting the correct answer first, and to AZNRichBoy and john121-, our runner-ups! Thanks to you guys I was able to score the next item of feng shui furni, the beautiful Red Knots. These knots are believed to bring luck to their owners, so you better stock up before attempting to solve Confucius’ new quest! Speaking of which, another page in the mysterious book is now scribbled up with the Confucius’ latest message:

Well done Luna (and crew)! You’ve successfully learned my second lesson: “The superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds his actions.”

I hope this lesson has inspired you to get off your lazy Habbo bum and do something! Yes, that’s right, that dream I sent was not only a clue about the Xi! I was also trying to tell you to get up and actually play Wobble Squabble for once instead of just watching. After all, actions speak louder than words, young Luna.

Speaking of which, it’s time for you to start acting on discovering my third lesson. The clue is out there. Search for it, find it, LEARN IT!

-Confucius

Well, I don’t really see myself playing Wobble Squabble anytime soon, but I definitely think we should take Confucius’ advice and get going on the next quest. If you discover and submit the third lesson first you’ll get the Calligraphy of the Masters poster, the Red Knots, the next feng shui furni Confucius gives me AND two months of HC!! I’ll also randomly select 3 of you who submit correct lessons to win the new piece as well.

Good luck Habbos! May the feng shui force be with you!

Lesson Four

We're Almost Done, Habbos!

Nice job on the last quest you guys! I haven’t been able to remember my dreams lately, so I thought we were all doomed on this one. I owe a special thanks to Ih3aRtY00h (the winner) and Jfirex1, .x.Aqua.x. and mr.bachata2 (the runner-ups) who studied the ancient Book of Changes, the "I Ching", to teach me about the importance of modesty (even though I already knew all about it, since I am the smartest Habbo I know *hehe*). As a reward, Confucius gave me an awesome Red Lantern, which gives off the coolest scarlet glow. It’s in the catalogue now, and I personally think it’s a must-have for all those awesome Asian-themed rooms you guys have been designing.

I wish I could say I’m done learning, but like Confucius said from the beginning, I have four lessons to learn, not three. Here’s the vague clue that appeared in the mysterious book this morning:

Three lessons down, one to go. You have proved your sharp intellect young Luna. Now, a test of –:Patience:-. You will receive one clue per day for six days and with each answer you’ll have the tool to unlock your last gift of knowledge.

-Confucius

Oh man! Patience?! I hope you guys have some, cause I’m feeling reallllly impatient at the moment. If you are up to Confucius’ last challenge and you can stick with it till the end, please help me out and send me the lesson along with the answers to all six clues once you learn them. I’m sure there is a huge reward in store this time, which you know I’ll share with you! The first person to write in with the correct answer will receive all of Confucius’ gifts we’ve received to date (that would include the Calligraphy poster, the Chinese Knots poster and the Red Lantern) as well as the latest gift and 2 months of HC! I’ll also randomly select four additional Habbos that answer correctly to win one of whatever Confucius gives me next!

Luna's Feng Shui Challenge

Luna's Fabulous Feng Shui

You’ve learned Confucius’ lessons, but now comes the real challenge…can you properly feng shui your space? We have the complete line of feng shui friendly Asian Furni in the catalogue, so I think it’s about time we all get in touch with our inner chi’s and rearrange our Furni feng shui style!

Here are some common feng shui rules I will stick to while judging:

  • When sitting at a desk or lying in bed, the entrance door should be in a clear line of sight, and you should have a view of as much of the room as possible.
  • Straight lines and sharp corners should be avoided.
  • Rooms should be free of all clutter.

Also, some objects are believed to have the power of redirecting, reflecting, or shifting energy in a space, which is a good thing. These objects include mirrors, crystals, wind chimes, and flowing water (you’ll definitely need to be creative in re-creating these).

What are the prizes you ask? Simple. First place gets the entire line of Asian Furni, a Green Fountain Rare and 20 Habbo coins. Second place gets the entire line of Asian Furni and third place gets 20 Habbo coins and a pat on the back. Hehe.

To enter Luna’s Feng Shui Challenge, design your room, put [FS] in front of the name and put it on the Feng Shui Floor, of course. Then, take a screenshot of yourself in your best meditative pose in your room and submit it to [email protected] with Luna’s Feng Shui Challenge in the subject line. You’ll also need to include your Habbo Name and your Room Name in the email so that we can give you proper credit.

The competition will close at 11:59pm on Monday September 4th. Good luck and may the feng shui force be with you!

The Winners

Let me start by saying, this was by far the most peaceful room design competition I've ever judged! Unfortunately, that didn't make choosing the winners any easier on me. After weighing the rules of feng shui against Habbo aesthtics, I finally selected three winners and here they are:

Place Habbo Name Room Name
First Place ,..sparkles.., Sanction of the mind.
Second Place thisbeme2 Asian Awe
Thrid Place Ellis Sakura Garden

Lessons Learned!

We Did it!

Your patience really paid off, Habbos! After six long, grueling days of waiting for clues from Confucius, we finally got everything we needed to learn the fourth and final lesson, which scored us the beautiful Lacquer Sofa! I couldn’t have done it without your help. Special thanks to Kamaree who submitted the correct lesson and clues first, and congratulations to the four runner-ups: ArielKat, jumpinjimothy, Nadavy and 1DerFul-Girl.

Confucius was very pleased as well! This is what appeared in my mysterious book before it completely vanished before my eyes:

Dear Luna…I am very pleased with all you’ve accomplished and learned. Hopefully you will take these lessons with you as you continue down the long and widing road. You now have all the tools you need to feng shui your Lair. You better do it quickly though! The gifts I have given you will soon disappear, like many other material things in this world… -Confucius

And with that, the book disintegrated into thin air and I haven’t heard a thing from Mr. Confucius since! What a journey this has been! To celebrate all the feng shui Furni we’ve earned (and to get some inspiration for my own Lair), I’ve decided to hold a feng shui room design challenge. You can find all of the rules and specifics here.

Like Confucius said, the Asian Furni will be in the catalogue for a limited time (until September 4th) so you better get your feng shui on FAST!

Thanks again, wise Habbos…you rock!
