The Caterpillar, also known as the Garden Caterpillar, was the last of the Limited Edition Rares to be released in May. It was on the 30th and it was a random release as corresponding promotions to it was unknown and the Gardening collection could be the only possible reason for the release.
Unlike other Limited Edition Rares, this was released whilst many were at educational locations such as schools and colleges, which made the sales slow. It was priced at 100 Credits and there were 1000 to sell. However, not all of them did and when it finally got removed from the Catalogue there was little over 300 left. The reasons surrounding the lack of sales was the price, the largeness of the item - it takes up 4 spaces and is also a seat for 3 people, and players were becoming tired of the Limited Edition Rares. Differently, this item wasn't about finding the exclusive #1 it was just an item randomly released.
The motto of the furni is 'Limited Edition Rare. Seats 3 Habbos.' and has currently been selling for as little as 30 credits, a large drop from the original selling price. The Caterpillar has 3 settings, the still setting without lights, the still setting with lights (consisting of a ring pattern working its way up the Caterpillar in yellow and the natural colour of the item) and the moving setting - this makes the item's head and tail move to give animation.
