The Stone Knight was released on the 20th October 2012 as a Limited Edition Rare. There were 200 units available at 75 Credits and 375 Pumpkins and they all sold out within a few hours of it entering the Catalogue.
Unlike previous Limited Edition Rares, the Stone Knight was designed by a Habbo player for a StrayPixels competition, 'shutdown!' of Habbo.com (International) won, and one of his prizes was having his item of furniture created on Habbo. He won the competition late in 2011, but the item wasn't released until the following year.
The Stone Knight was also unique in that it required players to purchase Credits in order to buy it to receive Pumpkins, the extra currency that was added onto the Limited Edition Rare. The exchange rate for Credits to Pumpkins were 5 Pumpkins for every Credit bought, so the rare in theory cost 150 Credits (as 375 Pumpkins / 5 = 75); making it one of the cheapest Limited Edition Rares ever available. Although it was unique, it caused controversy as not all players can purchase Credits, and some even had to ask friends to buy Credits for them in order to receive the item.
Since its release, it has gone above its original selling price and many of the Stone Knights are either inactive or hoarded, boosting the price up further.
